Evaluation of Student Entries:
Representatives from NASA’s Exploration Systems Mission Directorate will evaluate student’s entries.
Each entry will be judged on its own merit against a set of basic criteria.
Entries will be scored on how well they have focused their paper and how well they have addressed all aspects of the problem they chose to address with their tool or instrument package.
Criteria for evaluation includes: innovation and creativity; discussion of feasibility; baseline comparison with the relevant current technology, system, or design; and brief review of current literature relevant to their project.
Scores will be obtained from a minimum of four reviewers per entry. Ranking and awards will be based on averaged total scores.
Award level entries will be well written, well organized, thorough and concise.
